We started Sutsu to create a conscious clothing brand without costing the planet. Becoming a certified B Corporation in June 2023 marked a proud milestone, reinforcing the values we’ve held from the start and keeping us accountable as we grow. It’s not just a badge, but a promise to high standards for people, the planet, and transparency.

Crafted with Purpose: Design, Transparency, and Responsibility

Fast fashion remains one of the biggest environmental challenges of our time, but we genuinely believe we can push back, through thoughtful design, conscious choices, and building things to last. Here's a few examples of how we are shaping Sutsu to be a more sustainably responsible company.

A Foundation of Design and Reflection of Nature

At Sutsu, design is both our foundation and a reflection of nature. Created entirely in-house, our artwork and prints celebrate the raw beauty of the natural world and the adventures it offers, serving as both inspiration and a reminder of our responsibility to protect it. Inspired by the Japanese festival marking seasonal change, we embrace nature in both principle and practice, using eco-friendly materials like organic cotton to craft durable, design-led apparel made for mindful living.

Product Pricing & Transparency

We believe in honest, upfront pricing with no inflated markups or discounts. With our ‘pricing transparency’ allows us to put our money where our mouth is. What’s more, our made-to-order approach also helps us stand out from the crowd - meaning we don’t hold stock. In  other words, if you don’t order it, it doesn’t exist! No stock = no overproduction = no waste…full stop.

Long Haul Range

The Long Haul collection is a unisex range crafted from durable mid-weight certified organic cotton and post-consumer recycled polyester. Designed as core wardrobe staples, each piece combines comfort, longevity, and thoughtful craftsmanship, with the soft feel of a well-worn favourite. Built to last and made responsibly, these are everyday essentials made to handle whatever adventure comes next.

Blackout Collection

For the past four years, every Cyber Weekend we consciously take a step away from the harmful consumer discounting frenzy. Instead, each year we create a specially designed range of apparel that’s limited edition and only available for 4 days. When our customers buy from the Blackout Collection we plant 6 trees on land courtesy of Veritree and commit 10% of profits to supporting Rewilding Britain.

Transparent Operations

We run Sutsu with accountability and care, putting people and planet before profit. By working with Renoon, we openly share where and how our products are made, using Digital Product Passports to map our supply chain, meet legislative requirements, and communicate with transparency while reducing our impact and driving positive change.

Mindful, Purpose-Driven Clothing

Inspired by nature and culture, our made-to-order clothing prioritises quality, sustainability, and purpose. Crafted in our UK-based, family-run facility from organic and ethical materials, each piece is built to last. Fairtrade and responsibly produced, our garments support conscious fashion and meaningful impact.

For us, giving back isn’t an afterthought — it’s part of our foundation. Every purchase helps make a difference.

We proudly support impactful charities and environmental companies working to restore nature and biodiversity on a national and international scale. Every purchase helps us contribute to causes that matter. With every product, we’re not just creating style, we’re creating a positive impact.

At Sutsu sustainability isn’t about a single action, it’s about building a movement for positive change. Every decision we make is driven by a commitment to longevity and real impact.

Delivering positive impact with each order

With every order, we are committed to delivering real-world change. Every product we make is an opportunity to act responsibly, so we carefully consider how each step, from initial sourcing  to end production, affects the natural world.

Partnering with Veritree and Ecologi, we measure the real-world impact of every tree planted, forest regenerated, and project supported, ensuring each purchase creates tangible, meaningful change.

Giving Back: Supporting People, Wildlife, and the Planet

Sutsu proudly partners with Ekō to extend our impact, standing up for people, animals, and the planet. Meaningful change goes beyond what we make, it’s about what we stand for.

We also support Rewilding Britain, helping restore ecosystems and bring wildlife back to the UK’s landscapes. Through donations from our Black Friday campaigns, we contribute to nature’s recovery and growth.

As our partnership grows, we’re centering campaigns on storytelling and impact. Together, we plan a film series highlighting local rewilding projects and the people driving change in their communities, sharing the inspiring work that makes a difference.

Validating Our Values: Sutsu’s B Corp Journey

At Sutsu, achieving B Corp certification was more than just a milestone, it was a powerful validation of the values that have been woven into our DNA since day one. This certification affirmed our commitment to balancing purpose and profit, providing us with a clear framework to deepen and expand our efforts toward sustainability, transparency, and social responsibility.

2026 & beyond Progress in motion

  • Customer Feedback: We’ll expand our survey system, extending fit, fabric, and design feedback from sweatshirts to jackets to ensure our products meet real needs.

  • Community Impact: We’ll continue supporting initiatives like Rewilding Britain, focusing on restoring nature and strengthening ecosystems.

  • Environment & Circularity: In 2026, we aim to increase tree planting, enhance conservation efforts, and launch a closed-loop program so customers can recycle cotton garments for a voucher, giving clothes a second life.

  • Sustainable Production: We’ll track water usage against industry benchmarks and introduce sweatshirts made from recycled polyester.

  • Diversity & Inclusion: We’ll maintain and grow our diverse workforce (which is currently 66% female) and strengthen employee ownership through shareholder opportunities.

  • Sustainable Commuting: Our walk-to-work initiative will continue, encouraging eco-friendly commuting.

  • Staff Loyalty: We’ll implement a loyalty program to ensure our team feels valued and supported.

  • Governance & Transparency: We remain committed to full transparency, improving governance, and building on our existing practices.

Our Ongoing Journey

Sustainability isn’t a milestone; it’s a mindset. And we’re committed to showing up, improving, and staying accountable every step of the way.
