The Very (Tree) Thing
If you’re part of the Sutsu community (or even just a little familiar with us) you’ll know that we absolutely adore trees! They feature in many of our designs and are a constant source of inspiration. To us, woodlands and forests are a spectacle to be protected. But our love for these quietly magnificent beings goes beyond admiration. With your support, we’re helping grow more of them, dedicating a portion of every Sutsu purchase to fund tree-planting initiatives. One of the ways we do this is through an organisation called Veritree, and we thought it would be worth taking a moment to explain how it all works.

Verifiable Progress
These days, it’s common to see companies claiming to be environmentally conscious, supporting eco-friendly projects, or embracing sustainable practices. From our perspective, that’s all positive, we’re in favour of anything that genuinely benefits the planet. The key word, of course, is genuinely, because unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Sometimes, what’s presented as sustainability is more marketing than reality.
Partnering with Veritree removes any shadow of greenwashing and ensures authenticity. They provide verifiable information on tree planting and ecological projects, making sure that what’s promised is exactly what’s delivered. Our Impact So Far
Through the Sutsu Veritree Impact Hub, you’re able to monitor our progress with planting trees and a variety of related statistics. For example, you can see the amount of land restored through our projects, the number of workdays created for local tree planters, and the volume of CO₂ captured and stored thanks to our collective efforts. Take a look, you made this possible, and we think you’ll be proud of what’s been achieved so far. Of course, we’re not resting on our laurels or getting complacent; this is just the beginning of a long-term commitment to a healthier, more resilient future.

At its core, Veritree uses technology to provide validated evidence of tree planting and environmental restoration. But their platform is far more than high-level reporting. They gather real-time data both on the ground and through remote methods, like satellite imagery, and store it in a tamper-proof blockchain system. In plain terms, the facts and figures can’t be fudged... they’re completely dependable.
This data is incredibly valuable because it shows us how an ecosystem is developing. With that understanding, we can ensure that every resource invested is used as effectively as possible.
