Trucker Caps, Redefined

We’ve taken another look at our trucker caps. The changes aren’t dramatic, but they make a difference. We wanted to share with you how they are more in line with our values, and details that make the cap sit better, feel better, and look a little more like the trucker cap we’ve always wanted.

The front panels and peak are now made from a mid-weight blend of 60% organic cotton and 40% recycled polyester. The mesh at the back is 100% recycled polyester. Strong, breathable, and lighter on the planet.

We’ve also raised the profile from 9cm to 11cm and worked on the fit. Small shifts, but they change the way the cap comes together. It feels more considered, more purposeful.

What’s new:

  • 60% organic cotton / 40% recycled polyester front and peak
  • 100% recycled polyester mesh back
  • Higher profile (increased from 9cm to 11cm)
  • Improved fit

Why these changes matter

We’ve always said sustainability is a starting point, not a finish line. Every product has to be made responsibly, or it doesn’t sit right with our ethos as a brand. Switching up the organic and recycled fabrics in our caps is just part of that bigger picture.

But fabric alone doesn’t make a cap. Fit, comfort, and how it feels are just as important. That’s where your feedback came in. You told us where it could be better, and we listened. A higher profile, a truer fit, so now it is closer to the spirit of the original trucker.

What do we mean by the ‘profile'?

‘Profile’ is simply the height of a cap’s crown, the part that actually sits on your head. Baseball caps usually come in three types: low, mid, or high profile. Trucker caps tend to lean towards high and with this in mind we have raised ours, so you experience what you expect in a traditional trucker cap. It’s a small change, but it gives the cap more character and presence.

A little history

Trucker caps first showed up in the 1960s, handed out as workwear to farmers and drivers in the US. They were free, useful, and quickly became part of everyday life. The broad front panel gave companies an easy place to put their logos, turning the cap into a kind of moving billboard.

But the reason it stuck wasn’t advertising, it was function. Breathable mesh, a high crown, a solid peak. Simple, durable, useful. That’s what carried it beyond workwear and into fashion and culture.

Today

Our latest trucker caps are made in the same spirit. Durable, practical and recognisably a trucker cap. Only now, the fabrics are more responsible, the fit is sharper, and the profile feels better. A cap that’s rooted in history, tuned for today, and crafted to last.
